The event will begin with a talk by Carmen Hijosa, who will share her journey from traditional leather craftsmanship to the creation of her own ecological material, Piñatex, and how a circular and local economy is more beneficial for the environment.

Finalist of the European Inventor Award for his prestigious invention, he has managed to create a sustainable alternative to leather. It is a fabric produced from pineapple leaves that attempts to reduce the enormous carbon footprint of the textile and footwear industry.

In the workshop there will be an exchange of knowledge and experiences and will be focused on promoting sustainable fashion, since as she herself indicates "sustainability means sustaining, which translates into caring, loving, respecting."
