At the "ARTEK: Redesign your clothes" workshops we teach you different painting techniques on fabric so that you can apply them to your disused clothes and thus prolong their life. We will show the multiple possibilities of clothing that you no longer like, that has been spoiled or contains a stubborn stain, by just applying colour and creativity.
The textile industry is one of the most polluting industries on the planet and at Artek we try to mitigate its consequences with small gestures that change our consumption habits.
To tackle unsustainable consumerism, we invite you to think about how many clothes you throw away at the end of the year either because you no longer like them, or because they have become stained or damaged. ARTEK will demonstrate some of its many possibilities before it is discarded.
By renewing clothing through recycling and reusing it, we add new value, which is what is known as #upcycling.
It is not necessary to know how to draw in order to paint on canvas, as the techniques we will demonstrate are simple and highly effective.
Dare to change the world and give it a try, because there is no planet B and we must take care of the one we have.
Artek provides the materials, all you need is to bring your garment and its history.
